SNAKES IN THE GRASS
"I want to come in!"...Artist Robin Murez hears the exciting
shrills of children at her Entry Plaza ...a crossing so magnetic many
people just stop and stare..."
Laura Casey, The Oakland Tribune, July 11,
2005
Two (30' long x 20" diameter) concrete snakes
frame the entry plaza, slithering over
ground, under a creek, and around the bronze blades and giant amphibian
eggs, providing seating, climbing and serpentine challenges. Steel reinforced
concrete
sculpted, incised and pigmented on site.
